The US Treasury Department said that the sanctions were targeted at network and technology companies that were "helpful" to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Mikron, a Russian microelectronics manufacturer and exporter, is one of 21 entities and 13 individuals on the punishment list. The sanctions also include the blockade of any property in the United States.
US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said: "Russia's unprovoked aggression not only continues to violate Ukraine's sovereignty, but also escalates attacks on civilians."
"We will continue to sanction Russia from all angles until this meaningless war of choice ends," she added.
The Ministry of Finance said that the software and communication technology company AO NII Vektor, the hardware company T-Platforms and the Molecular Electronics Research Institute (MERI) working for the Russian government were also added to the sanctions list.
Due to the sanctions, all US assets of the target individuals and companies are blocked and must be reported to the US government.
The punishment also targeted the Moscow based OOO Serniya Engineering. The Ministry of Finance said that the company is the center of a network that aims to evade sanctions by hiding users of "key Western technologies" (such as Russian intelligence and military agencies).
